UM66 is a 64 note melody generator IC that is available in TO-92 package. The IC can play five different tones based on the version. It can be easily used along with an NPN transistor to drive a speaker which is rated for 6/8 ohms. It is commonly used in toys, bells, alarm clocks etc. The features of the UM66 IC is given below
