RJ45 Ethernet Socket
The Internet is a necessity of the modern world. Imagine living a day without the internet, I bet you won't like it at all. Nowadays we all have Wi-Fi at our homes and offices but even for that the data lines are usually CAT-6 or other Ethernet cables, we need the end connectors which is usually RJ45 Connector. RJ 45 was designed for the networking applications in Industry as the most commonly used connector type is 8P8C which means 8 position 8 contact i.e. it can have 8 shielded twisted pair lines terminating from a ethernet cable.
An 8P8C modular connection consists of a male plug and a female jack, each with eight equally-spaced contacts. On the plug, the contacts are flat metal bars positioned parallel to the connector body. Inside the jack, the contacts are metal spring wires angled away from the insertion interface. When the plug is mated with the jack, the contacts meet and create an electrical connection. The spring tension of the jack contacts ensures a good interface.

In this type of communication, Data is transmitted between two electronic devices like Microcontrollers or Microprocessors over a very long distance without getting lost. Normally communication protocols like SPI, USART, IIC will be used to transfer these data. These two devices are linked using a cable like CAT cables. The CAT cables are connected to the circuit through this RJ45 Connector.
